They seem to have perfected their art, that’s for sure. Biscuits can come out dry and brittle so easily, and I’ve got to hand it to the folks at Biscuit Bitch for being able to keep them airy and moist. Like before, the biscuit was soft and fluffy. After I’d picked them off, I got to work. I admit I was a little disappointed to get several jalapenos with the stems still on (you can see them pictured)–“if you can’t eat it, it shouldn’t be on the plate” is definitely a philosophy I subscribe to wholeheartedly. I decided to try out their drinks again too, so I ordered their Dirty Pumpkin, a spicy chai and pumpkin pie with two shots of espresso. It’s described as a biscuit and gravy smothered in cheese and topped with a grilled Louisiana hot link and jalapenos, and comes with a pricetag of $9.60. Instead, let’s get right to the loaded biscuit I tried: the Smokin’ Hot Bitch. I won’t go into too much detail on the history and philosophy of Biscuit Bitch’s founder, Kimmie Spice, or the atmosphere of the two locations I’ve visited– you can check the original post for that. (I’m sure you’ll recall that’s my term for their biscuits piled high with toppings, right?) I tried their Bitchwich–egg over hard, cheddar, bacon, and “Bitchy Sauce” on a scratch-made buttermilk biscuit–but I hadn’t had a chance yet to try their “loaded biscuits”. And after ALLLLLLL of that, the biscuit sandwich was not even that great.Last month, I decided Biscuit Bitch triumphed over Honest Biscuits in the biscuit sandwich market in Seattle. But I spent it standing on a sidewalk waiting because they can’t figure out what every other restaurant has, to provide a pick-up time to customers. I waited an hour for my food, an hour I could have spent exploring the city, shopping, or visiting a museum. I learned then that the wait is long mainly because the staff is slow, not because the place is that popular. I watched the workers move with no urgency preparing food. I don’t know why I chose to stay (I should have left then) but my love of biscuits made me stay. I asked the person working the front counter and they said it would be another hour for my food. I ordered, got in the shower, got dressed, grabbed an uber, arrived at the store and there is a 2 ½ hour wait. The most important aspect of domiciliary care is the patient's independence, since they can live their lives without limitation. Why is domiciliary care important in the UK?Īpart from allowing the individual to stay in the comfort of their home, domiciliary care also plays an important role in the care of a patient. This service allows a person to remain in the comfort of their own home while knowing that their needs are being taken care of by a professional carer. Many individuals and their families in the UK opt for domiciliary care, otherwise known as "care at home", as it puts them back in control of the support they receive. Day-long and overnight visits are possible as well. The carer can visit as often as an individual needs them to, which can range from as little as a few hours per week to as often as every day. There might also be some medical needs that require the help of a trained carer.
