A whole load of aspects of our shadow self comes from experience, human nature, and society. Well, when I began to work with my shadow self, I thought about this a lot. Have you ever heard of the phrase, ‘the first thought you have is what you are trained to think, the second is your true self’? There is nothing bad about our shadow self, it is a part of who we are! However, in order to overcome these things, we must acknowledge them as a part of us. Now, let's see what the different Hero Classes have to offer!! Therefore, if you are not 100% familiar with all the class abilities yet, I recommend to read this guide with the wiki next to it, so you can consult it when needed. Last thing to mention I go pretty deep explaining all the skills and their purpose, but I don't list specifically what the skill does and its numbers. Don't hesitate to let me know in comments if you find something wrong!! I apologize in advance for any in exactitude or mishap I may commit, and will try to fix anything that I find. I also have way more experience with the game pre-Color of Madness DLC, which came with an update that rebalanced most of the characters significantly. Of course, this is going to be highly subjective, and despite the high amount of hours I have in this game, surely there are some builds and compositions I have missed, so let me reiterate, don't take this Tier List too seriously! Therefore, I will order the classes from 'best' to 'worst', in terms of how many roles that class can occupy and how well it works with the rest of the classes and dungeons. That, and my own personal view, of course. That said, is indisputable some classes are more versatile than others, and that's how I am going to base this classification. FULL DISCLAIMER!! There is no such thing as a tier list in this game!! What it matters are not individual heroes, but team compositions!! Any hero can be good or terrible depending on which party and dungeon is it playing!! What I mean with this is, take this Tier List with a grain of salt, as is basically an excuse to analyze all the classes!! Now, since I know everyone ABSOLUTELY LOVES Tier Lists, even if it's just to criticize and rip them away, I decided to write my OWN PERSONAL ULTIMATE HERO TIER LIST!!īut before. Just take into account that this was written before the CoM patch, so something may have slipped that is not longer true. Mostly, a few heroes got rebalanced a lot (looking at you, Flag), but the rest got only mostly minor changes, so there aren't many relevant changes afterall. So, most of the things in the guide are still true. Things changed enough to shake things a bit but no so much that the game is unrecognizable. Touch ID scanner built into the top button.All-screen industrial design with flat edges. The iPad mini and iPad Air share a large number of key features, such as design, a rear 12MP Wide camera, and a USB-C port: Similarities Since the iPad Air was released in September 2020, should you buy the now-discontinued, bigger-screened iPad Air, or opt for the new iPad mini? Our guide answers the question of how to decide which of these two iPads is best for you. The iPad mini now effectively shares the design of the fourth-generation iPad Air from 2020, with both devices possessing many of the same features such as an all-screen design with no Home button, Touch ID in the top power button, and stereo speakers. Though you can mirror your display on the iPad Mini and older versions of the iPad Air, only the iPad Air 5 and iPad Pro range will let you use a second display independently. In 2021, Apple introduced the sixth-generation iPad mini, featuring a complete redesign, a larger display, the A15 Bionic chip, and more. It’s essentially down to the upgraded Apple M1 within the latest iPad Air, which Apple deems powerful enough to power the experience. However, the latest iPad Air 5 has a trick up its sleeve in the form of supporting external monitors, allowing you to run different apps on different displays – the only non-pro iPad to offer the functionality. That means that you can split-screen multitask, use the same apps, or even use the tablet as a second display when connected to a Mac, though whether that experience will be better on a small or large screen will depend on what you’re doing. When it comes to software, both the iPad Mini and iPad Air run the same version of iPadOS with yearly updates further improving the experience on offer. You can still connect a standard Bluetooth keyboard to the iPad Mini, but it’s not the all-in-one experience the Magic Keyboard offers. ![]() Going back to older versions of the iPad Mini, support wanes even more, with the iPad Mini 5 offering support for the first-gen Apple Pencil but not much else. That’s likely down to the dimensions of the tablet and the fact that the keyboard would need to be pretty cramped – and that wouldn’t be great for the typing experience. On the other hand, the latest iPad Mini only boasts support for the second-gen Apple Pencil with no dedicated Magic Keyboard for the small-screen tablet. There are, however, keyboard folios available for the earlier generations in place of the snazzy Magic Keyboard of the latest models. Image Credit (Trusted Reviews)Īdmittedly that’s only the case with the iPad Air 4 and 5, with the iPad Air 3 offering only first-gen Apple Pencil support. Combined, these turn the iPad Air into a fully-fledged work device with a great typing experience and a handy stylus for note-taking or creative work. The iPad Air, like the new iPad 10, offers support for the second-gen Apple Pencil, allowing it to snap to the side of the device when not in use, as well as its own Magic Keyboard, Apple’s premium keyboard and trackpad system. While the two tablets may sport the same overall design, accessory support is one key area they differ. ![]() So while the iPad Mini tends to offer great performance, the iPad Air always seems to best it. The Apple M1 chipset is the same found not only in earlier versions of Apple’s iPad Pro, but the MacBook Air and iMac 24 too. To the iPad Mini’s credit, the A15 Bionic was the same as that of the flagship iPhone 13, but it can’t quite compete with the iPad Air 5’s Apple M1 chipset. Despite the iPad Mini getting an overhaul in its sixth generation to resemble the iPad Air, processing power remained elusive. More recent generations of iPad Mini and iPad Air have seen that gap grow even larger. That won’t be that noticeable in day-to-day use, but it could make all the difference when running processor-hungry apps like LumaFusion Pro or Procreate. Take the previous-gen iPad Air 4 and iPad Mini 5 for example the former sports the A14 Bionic while the latter sports the A12 Bionic, giving the iPad Air a two-generation lead in the processing department. That’s just as true with the newer models as older models in the range, with the iPad Mini usually sitting between the base iPad and the iPad Air in terms of price, and performance reflects this. In terms of processing power, the iPad Air generally has more graphical oomph than the iPad Mini. ![]() The iPad Air, conversely, is the better tablet for split-screen multitasking and gaming, with a much larger display than its Mini brethren. This makes the iPad Mini the most portable iPad in the collection, with its small dimensions making it easy to slip into a bag or even a large pocket, and it’s easy to use one-handed too. ![]() She was the official class greeter, tour guide, and messenger – all jobs that let her interact with others (and frequently took her out of the classroom so I could get a little breather). My colleagues raved about Emily’s ability to show up at school, keep a positive attitude, and be motivated to learn despite the hardships she dealt with at home. Learning more about her background allowed me to focus on the whole child instead of the behavior. I learned Emily had a very rocky home life, and child protective services had been involved. Her parents hadn’t been responsive to my many requests for a conference about the incessant chatter and early school drop off, so I asked past teachers, the principal, and the guidance counselor for insight. It’s okay not to like everyone you encounter. Here’s how I turned my least favorite student into my favorite student. And in that very moment, my heart softened and I vowed to find a way to appreciate Emily and connect in ways we both enjoyed. What? Me? How was I the favorite teacher of my least favorite student? I was sure I visibly cringed more than once when I heard her shriek my name, running to tell me about the show she was binge-watching or what she had for breakfast. Then I overheard Emily telling a classmate I was her favorite teacher ever. The mere thought of her on the weekend would put me in a bad mood that was hard to shake. When she remembered to raise her hand before blurting out her opinions, I still fought the urge to roll my eyes. It annoyed me when she corrected other students. I could hear her tapping her nails on her desk from across the room, even though no one else could. The frustration built in me until everything she did drove me crazy. I tried everything to get her to be quiet – gentle requests, reprimands, consequences, bribes. But I’d never had a student get under my skin as much. ![]() I knew other teachers found Emily delightful. I’d had students with much bigger behavior challenges – those were defiant and aggressive. My least favorite student wasn’t even the one with the biggest behavior challenges. She kept talking, laughing, and giggling to herself anyway. And it didn’t matter if I didn’t respond or if her classmates ignored her. When she wasn’t talking, she was laughing or singing. She had opinions on everything and shared every thought that popped into her head stream-of-consciousness style. She’d start chattering as soon as I was in her line of vision, even if I wasn’t totally within earshot. No, it was all because of my least favorite student, Emily (not her real name).Įmily was always the first one through my classroom door – usually beating me – and the last one to leave. However, there may be circumstances preventing you from getting to (or remaining in) the deep-sleep stage. Ideally, if you’re getting a full-night’s sleep, you shouldn’t have to worry about how much deep sleep you need your body should be able to take care of all that on its own. And actually, those who are over 65 may need even less. But don’t worry! That’s really all your body needs. This means that if you’re a healthy adult sleeping for eight hours at night, you’re really only getting an hour or so of legitimate deep sleep. If you’ve been keeping track of the numbers, you’ll see that the deep-sleep stage only accounts for a fraction of the overall cycle. Most people experience a few full sleep cycles per night, but when it comes to that all-important deep sleep, stage three is where it’s at. REM may last for about an hour, after which everything starts over at stage one. And your brain goes nuts you start experiencing vivid hallucinations (people call them dreams, but whatever), and your muscles may enter a state of paralysis so that you don’t end up physically acting out whatever hijinks your getting up to in your head. REM is a whole other kind of sleep - your heart rate, breathing, and brain activity speed up, your eyes begin moving rapidly behind your eyelids, and basically your different systems reach near-wake activity levels. If you don’t get enough of stage 3, you’ll definitely feel it in the morning.Īfter about 90 minutes or so, your body slips out of deep sleep and into the REM stage. Your body also uses this stage to repair damaged tissue, grow new cells, produce hormones, and take care of other essential housekeeping chores. During this stage your breathing, heart rate, and brain waves slow even further, your body temperature drops and you become very difficult to wake up. Stage 3 is the deep-sleep stage, but it tends to only last for about 20–40 minutes. ![]() ![]() Your muscles relax, your heart rate slows, and after about 30–60 minutes (give or take), your brain waves begin to show signs of slow-wave activity.įinally, you can start getting some deep sleep - just not a whole lot right at once. Unfortunately, stage 2 isn’t much more restful than stage 1 - but it’s a step in the right direction. Your breathing slows, you relax, your muscles maybe twitch a little bit, and then you’re off to stage 2. It doesn’t last very long, and it’s easily interrupted. These stages swing back and forth between REM (rapid eye movement) and NREM (non-rapid eye movement) sleep, with each offering different levels of restfulness.Īs you begin to doze off, you enter the first stage of sleep. While you’re snoozing, your body is constantly cycling between multiple stages of sleep. But the reality is that you’re actually all kinds of active while you’re getting your zzz’s. It might not feel like a lot happens in the hours between falling asleep and waking back up. ![]() So what’s the solution - more sleep? Or is it that we’re not getting enough deep sleep ? To answer that question, let’s take a look at the four stages of sleep, and what they mean for your body. Even those of us who regularly capture the recommended seven to nine hours can still find ourselves grumbling at the sound of the morning alarm clock. We all need it, and sometimes it seems like we just can’t get enough of it. |
